10th Anniversary of the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention

OECDOn 21 and 22 November 2007, the 10th anniversary of the OECD Anti- Bribery Convention will be celebrated within the framework of a high level conference in Rome, Italy.

This conference, hosted an co-organized by the Italian High Commissioner against Corruption and the Italian Ministry of Justice, will allow ministers and other high officials of the State Parties to (re)affirm their commitment of enforcing the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention and to continued concerted action against bribery of foreign public officials.Diverse topics on the agenda, such as reports and information on the implementation and enforcement of the Convention through the State Parties, changes in the global business environment and their impact in relation to corruption as well as various meetings of Experts and Prosecutors will contribute to an interesting conference and help to analyse impacts and achievements of the Convention.

On 21 November 1997, OECD member countries and 5 non members, Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile and Slovak Republic adopted a convention on combating bribery of foreign public officials in international business transactions.
