Ljubljana Technical Seminar

A technical seminar on the Use of Advance Information Technology was held in Ljublijana, Slovenia on 28 and 29 October 2013.

The seminar was jointly organized by EPAC/EACN, DG Home Affairs (European Commission), the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption of the Republic of Slovenia, the National Anticorruption Directorate of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the High Court of Cassation and Justice of Romania, and Jozef Stefan Institute, Slovenia.

The seminar demonstrated how an anti–corruption agency can use advanced information technology in its practical work. The thematic areas covered include IT toold in investigation and oversight procedures, information security, the effective use of electronic evidence, as well as data and knowledge driven analytics. Participants had the opportunity to exchange views and ideas with organizations who have already engaged in the creation of such tools, and the chance to thes their ideas with the actual IT experts who developed them.
